pink saturday

Welcome to Pink Saturday,
hosted by Beverly, at How Sweet the Sound!
A couple of weeks ago, when I was going through boxes that had been packed away for at least 10 years, I came across the "pink frocked~out" lady below.

I had forgotten about this sweet little 4" gal, and just how special she was.

Why? Because she graced the top of my 16th Birthday Cake in 1984.

....Seems like only yesterday!

Wonder if she is wondering if this PINK dress makes her bottom look big? LOL!

Hope everyone survived the goblins last night, got plenty of treats, and is having a great weekend so far! :) ~Rhonda

  6. I love her! For years I had a pink ballerina that twirled that was porcelain. She was on my 8-year-old birthday cake. Mom kept her up high and I got to keep her in my room when I was older. I had her up until I had kids and then she was broken. She was pink too and meant so much to me. Thanks for bringing back the memory!

  25. Hi Rhonda, Happy Pink Saturday and thank you for stopping by. I love your pink post and I had to scroll down and look at your glittered acorns. I love them! So cute. That Martha Stewart glitter is so nice isn't it? Is you puppy a Yorkie? Looked like one in that one pic.

  28. Loved that sweet little figurine! How great that she marked your 16th birthday. I don't think I have a thing from any of my special bdays--you are so lucky!

I so enjoyed catching up on some of your recent posts just now. I have been so busy my blog visiting has suffered! I loved those glittered acorns! When I was young, my mom was a great believer of gold spray paint and glitter! She didn't realize that she was ahead of Martha in that respect! We used to paint and glitter pinecones, walnuts and pecans, wheat, sweet-gum balls and hedge apples. I recall those glitter sessions was such fondness now!
Hope your Pink Sat was a great one! dana

  30. Hi there!

Gosh, I haven't been by in awhile. Life has been C-R-A-Z-Y for me lately, but I'm finally able to slow down enough to do some blog reading and it's been fun.

I love your new blog look. I changed mine tonight. A girl just needs a change every once in awhile, right?!

    Hugs!

And sorry, but her butt does look big, lol. That's ok, lots of ceramic men like juicy bigger girls, so I hear. Just sayin'.
