For Dessert,
I don't have a picture, but would like to share a recipe that I tried over the summer for one of our gatherings. Everyone loved it, and would be perfect for the dinner above.
It is very simple and very quick, ...and very tasty!

Apple Cobbler
2 cans apple pie filling
1 box yellow cake mix
2 cups pecans, chopped
1 stick butter, sliced thinly

Grease a baking dish and pour 2 cans of apple pie filling in it. Top with yellow cake mix and nuts. Thinly slice butter and lay on top. Bake at 325 for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

  24. Your table is beautiful. I love the napkins and cute butterfly napkin rings. I make a lot of apple crisp but have never used cake mix. I always use pecans just as you do. Let's hope there is lots of fall weather for our favorite apple recipes. Thanks for sharing this one. Have a wonderful weekend! Come visit me and my Julia Child dinner post.

  30. As always, another beautiful post from your neck of the woods... your home is always so warm and welcoming and I truly love seeing your treasures and the wonderful ways you enjoy them!

I'm just now slowly getting back into my blogging routine, too ... from the looks of things, I believe that alot of folks took some blogging breaks this Summer, whether intended or not ... anyway, I'm hopeful that I'll be able to "keep up" and get back to enjoying everyone's posts and photos ...

I've missed you alot and have had you on my mind ... you've always remained in my heart 'n prayers ♥ ... it's my hope that you're doing well, and I'm looking forward to catching up more!
