"Harley Week" is this week at Myrtle Beach, SC! Any of you who live enroute to Myrtle Beach, have probably seen countless convoys of Harleys stretched out across the black top. Yesterday, my husband and I headed down for the day. ...I hung up my Super Mom Cape for the day and transformed into a Harley Chic! (Not really, but it sure sounded good, huh?) LOL!
We have a Fat Boy and his late dad's Road King, but decided to take the truck. It was a little too windy ...and much safer! The weather has been warm and beautiful, perfect for riding, but unfortunately, there have been many tragic motorcycle wrecks in our area in last month.
Our first destination was our favorite "daytime" restaurant in MB, the Olympic Flame Pancake House. We were lucky to find a table by the front window, where we overlooked the strip and the motorcycles riding by.
The colors of the bikes were amazing...
A Crayon Box of Colors!
This was my favorite Bike! I just love pearl white!
My sweet husband said this was his favorite Harley, because it reminded him of his sexy wife, small at the top, much larger at the bottom...Laughing out loud, hysterically! My daughter would say that this is WAY too much information...."TMI, Mom!!!" But I am so thankful he still finds me attractive after all these years! "smiles"
Harley designed after a '57 Chevy. The yellow one beside it was an imitation of a Corvette.
My husband thought this truck was cool, and we had to get a picture for our boys.
He thought it would be a perfect truck to beat around in and take out the garbage with...LOL! Yeah, right!
I managed to take in a few junkin' shops and found a couple of pieces to bring home...
This hanging has roamed the walls of my home, trying to find the perfect spot!
It was so nice to get away for the day and spend it with my husband. Day retreats like these remind you of why you fell in love in the first place!
But, laundry & dirty dishes await, so the ultra hip Harley Chic is retired until this time next year! ~Rhonda

Well, I'm not much into riding motorcycles, but they're fun to look at. That white one is really pretty! I bet you had fun. I love the dishes you found!
Hey Harley Chic!
So happy that you and your sweet Husband were able to get out for such a fun day!
I simply Love the Noritake China you found ~swoons~ It's beautiful... The thrift shop I go to every now 'n then usually has alot of lonely, odd pieces of pretty china... it'd give me something to "hunt" for if I knew the pattern name!! If I get "lucky" I'll send it your way!
~hugs~

Sounds like a fun day for you two. Really some different bikes.
Susan
Hey Scooter!!! Sounds like youhad a great time...my cousin and her hubby are huge biker fans and they go there every year also! The pearly white one was my favorite also but my hubby would be sitting up in that 57 chevy!!!! lol Ohh girl we have had our share of motorcycles in this family..but all the Burly Boys have now turned to 4 wheel drives..bass boats and hunting dogs!!! lol Have a great evening girl!
I have a friend who has been to Bike Week many times. She always comes back with great stories.
Thanks for sharing.
Thank You so much for stopping by today! The paint- believe it or not is Wal-Mart Colorplace called "Billowy Gray". I call it "the perfect cottage blue" as it is just gorgeous and bounces light around like a fairy tale. One tip though- if I had it to do again I would have the swatch mixed in a better paint as Colorplace just doesn't hold up well in our home!! he he Too many scrub-downs due to the little people!
Oh Bike Week! My Dad's best friend goes every year and always has so many fun stories. And he actually lives so close to Sturgis (sp?) that he can walk there in less than 5 minutes! He is a true motorcycle man!
Glad you had so much fun and got some gorgeous treasures! Wow!!
Thanks again for your visit- you made my day with your sweet words.

Hi Rhonda,
Sounds like you had a fun day!! :) And I love all your "finds" -- the Noritake china - wow! :)
Thanks for leaving that fun comment on my blog about the throws -- I had added a comment there about my weird decorating personality. :) I know exactly what you meant about needing to spend a lot of time for that "free-flowing" look. I had tried doing it a couple of times, but somehow just couldn't quite achieve that look. Kudos to you for being able to do that! ;)
I am doing fine, but quite busy -- I am actually ready for bed, but hubby is still working in his office! :(
I hope you would have a great day tomorrow!
Hi Rhonda, great post. I use to ride back in the late 80's so I have a soft spot still for motorcycles. You guys had a really nice getaway. I would have enjoyed it. Deb
Hey there Rhonda!
Thanks for checking in, I finally posted, I had a heck of a time with blogger today! Sheesh!
I love your post, those bikes are so beautiful, the white pearl would be my choice too, and the truck is amazing...love the wild colors!
What a fun time to share with your husband, and good for you on slipping in some bargain hunting, killed two birds with one stone huh?
Hope your having a great week!
XXOO,
Donna Lynn
Sounds like you had a fun outing together. Some of those bikes are amazing - so creative!
Rhonda, I love Harley's. We don't have one. But, we've had two different ones over the years. I love to see all of the bike's that come through here on their was to Sturgis, SD every year. It sounds like you had a wonderful time. Makes me want a new Harley!! And you even managed to pick up some treasures. It doesn't get much better than that!! Have a beautiful day!! Hugs, Terrie
Hey Rhonda
I love your post it sounds like a great time for you and Hubby. I love harleys and I used to love Harley boys. Then I moved to hot rods and hot rod boys. Found a keeper and kept him, but I will always love that thunder of the engine as it drives by it does not sound like any other bike. There were some sweet looking bikes there. You took some great pictures. It will be like a little scavenger hunt trying to find that last place setting you need for the Noritake. Have a Great Day!
SWEET! My husband has a motorcycle. Not a Harley, but still fun. He makes me dress in full leathers though and do all of the protective gear. I havn't been on that bike for a couple of years, but love the adventure when it comes around! Glad you two had fun!
Rhonda...
My dh has a Harley and up here in northern MI it's just starting to get warm enough to ride. Thanks for all the pics of way-cool bikes!! Must have been a fun day :)
