And I bet that up until now, you all thought I was all peaches and cream...LOL!
Don't we all have our bad days??? Aren't we allowed one every once and awhile???
I remember exactly when it began, precisely at 9:00 this morning, when the first of TWELVE telemarketers called! And yes, I have signed up for the DO NOT CALL list, but apparently that only works AFTER they call, and you inform them you are on that list, in which they reply, Okay...Have a nice day!
Well, I WAS until you called....
Make that THIRTEEN, another just called as I type...
Or could it be that the 100 degree temps have finally gotten the best of me???
I don't do heat...or I don't do it well, anyway. And I have tried to be a good sport, because let's face it, can't do anything about it until mid-October! And literally ON TOP of that, last week I was pulling Poison Ivy vines out of the shrubbery. Up until now, I could have wallowed in it, and it would not affect me in the least. Now I am breaking out EVERYWHERE that even the sun doesn't reach, much less ivy! Combine hot, sweaty skin, with a dreadful itchy rash...NOT GOOD ! And certainly not pleasant!
Correction: As a proper southern lady, I stand corrected on the description as "sweaty"...we do not sweat or perspire, we GLISTEN! "smiles"
Or could it be, because like most of you I'm sure, our TO-DO list keeps getting longer, but the Completed List stays ever so short ?!?
Or that the children are now out of school, ...and let's just say, we are ALL adjusting...
By now, those of you who have read to the end of this post, and were not immediately turned away by the rambling, negative banter, are probably pretty stressed yourself. LOL!
I certainly hope not, for that was NOT my intentions! However, after getting it all "off my chest," I do feel a thousand times better! Thank you for listening...You are a true friend! I am smiling now! LOL!
I know that I have so much to be THANKFUL for, that nothing is REALLY wrong today, It's just been one of those days that I need one of these....
So, I'm stepping down and retiring my SOAP BOX for the evening!
I'll see you all tomorrow, and hopefully "IT," will be adjusted! ;)
~Rhonda
Note: #14 telemarketer just called, and He promised to remove us from his list! He agreed that fourteen calls in one day is very annoying, and that he understood my frustration...and yes, I was nice to him! LOL! He was very friendly and closed the conversation with "God Bless You, mam!" Now how can I be mad with that? "smiles"

'IT' is a scary, scary thing!
Yes, we do all have our bad days!
I stopped and said a little prayer for you. Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better day! :)
The music was so appropriate for your "down-in-the-mouth" disposition...hopefully tomorrow will be full of pleasant things.

I was just glad to see that I'm not the only one that feels like that sometimes. Poison Ivy is horrible and I hate being hot too. I work in a factory and I start SWEATING (and I do mean SWEATING) the minute I walk in the door and I don't stop till I hit the shower when I get home YUCK. It makes me hate summer. Hope your day gets better. Stop Itching.

On days like this, I try to just throw IT in the trash. And, then burn th trash.
Feel better.

You mean you're NOT all Peaches 'n Cream?! ~gasps~
Bless your heart, Sweetie... I can so relate to your day... not much of a picnic, eh? This wicked evil heat isn't doing much to help, either. Ugh... so so soooo sorry to hear about the poison ivy. It just sounds painful... hopefully you will find relief, soon.
I smiled when you reminded me that a proper Southern lady glistens instead of sweats! I keep forgetting that... LOL
We shall survive! Talk with you tomorrow... I need to go fix "IT"
God bless...
~hugs~

You did a good job when I found myself smiling through this. If I had poison ivy I would be terrible!!! Trust today is finding you much better. God gives us a clean sheet to write on each day. "His mercies are new every morning". Thank goodness!!

Yes, we all have those IT days! When that happens I do my usual, I drop everything and go shopping!!
Poison Ivy, heat, stress: that's too much!!! I did want to move to the south. Now, you have me wondering. I heard all of you ladies talking about how hot.. it is already. We have been complaining because it's cool and rainy. Are we ever happy?? We need to turn it around and look at our reasons to be grateful!! God is good! Hugs, Terrie
Hi Rhonda
Thanks for visiting my blog. If I wer you I would re register for the DO NOT CAll list. They must have lost your info or something. That is ridiculous.
Hope your day improves.
Nice to meet another blogger from North Carolina. There are quite a few of us.
Hugs, Rhondi
Im sorry you are having a bad day. You sure did make me smile.... It does get better! Smiles your way, Susie H
Yikes! Poisen Ivy can be miserable! And add the telemarketers on top....double Yikes!
Hope that the rest of the week is wonderful for you!

Hi there! Yes it's me the "Rub n Buff" lady from RMS! LOL! Who knew I would be remembered for that of all things! You have a really cool blog. I've just been sitting here reading...still have more to catch up on but I'm really enjoying it so far....great job! : ) Buffie
What a wonderful post we all can relate to! I love the phrase that you "glisten!" I'm not a southern lady but I think I'm going to steal that phrase from you. Thanks for your kind comments on Savannah! Picket's grandmother's name was Savannah, and now your Ashley too. It must be more common than I thought!
For awhile I too was receiving many telemarketing calls. Many were disguised as surveys in the beginning. I went to the Do Not Call website and updated my listing and haven't received more than a few since. It's worth a try for you to do. They always seem to call at the most inconvenient times. I always tell them that if I can't buy it in a store I don't want it! Cindy
