Pink Saturday Post ~ Christmas In July...

My how the week flies by! Before you know it, here we are once again for Pink Saturday! ...united in pink girl power!

Today, I would like to bring you a little Christmas cheer...in July!
But, First of all, I would like to wish our host, Beverly, at How Sweet the Sound,
a Very Happy Birthday! "smiles"

Several weekends ago, my family and I traveled to Calabash, NC, for a little world famous Seafood. While we were there, we browsed through a local gift shop, that features a year-around extensive Christmas Shop!

I found the perfect pink Christmas ornament! This beauty represents a very worthwhile cause, indeed, but was a little steep for me in price...$70.00.

In case you are wondering if I accidentally typed too many zeroes...nope, you read right...$70 bucks!

This ornament makes me want to bring out my pink maracas!
Pink accented Can-Can Girl mixed among other pretties...

Pink and Yellow theme Christmas Tree...

Just a little more Christmas decor....

Frou-Frou Girl...

This isn't a very clear shot, I was trying to be inconspicuous. I didn't want to get embarrassed, in case someone reprimanded me for taking pictures... There wasn't a sign forbidding them, but you never know! LOL!

The Christmas Tree is perched atop a bird bath...How neat is that?

At 100 degree temps, it is much too hot to think about Christmas, but I do wish you lots of PINK cheer on this fine PINK Saturday! ~Rhonda :)

Rhonda, I know just which store you visited. I love it, and I always have to go when we are near.

Happy Pink Saturday.

What a fun store! You know we didn't even put up a tree last year. Long story and maybe I'll blog it later but I sure missed having one up and decorated. I seriously don't own anything pink! Does that make me weird?

Your post makes me want to shop for Christmas! I've never had a pinkish tree...always stuck with traditional red, green and white. Who knows about this year?

Hi Rhonda! I absolutely love Christmas decorations, and these are all gorgeous! I wish we had a shop like that around here somewhere.

I always think about taking pictures when I'm in cute shops, but I'm always afraid I'll get in trouble! I guess I just need to be inconspicuous too!

Have a great weekend!

What a great idea to be able to participate by taking pictures of pink! Keeps the shopping interesting too. In answer to your question, we have put our dinner on hold. Larry's sister kind of messed it up by planning a family dinner this Sunday to celebrate my in-laws' 60th wedding anniversary. It will only be the Utah siblings coming but with grandkids and great grandkids we still have 30+ people. I've solved my centerpiece problem but it will have to wait a couple of weeks. I like doing it in July bz it coincides with Pioneer Day but with the 60th anniversary this Sunday (it actually was June 2nd and Larry and I did our own celebration with them then), and Brianna is blessing Savannah the next Sunday (which is like a christening in other churchs) we just can't fit it in. But, on a good note I can cook more if the temperature cools down a little so maybe waiting isn't such a bad idea! Plus, Nicholas' girlfriend Jill will be back in Utah in August and she wants to come so if we wait she can!

So many fun pink Christmas items! It's nice that the store allowed you to take pictures, some of them won't if they think you're going to try to re-create something.

I love these year round Christmas shops. This one looks like it was really terrific and well stocked. I always like to collect an ornament from our travels. Each year we remember about a special place visited as we add them to the tree. Enjoyed your pink Saturday.
Have a great weekend.
Blessings, Celestina

WOW, those are some beautiful ornies! That is a shame the hatboxes for breast cancer were so outrageous... really, they'd sell more for a bit less. It sure was cute.

Rhonda,
I know exactly what you mean about trying to be inconspicuous with your camera. Sometimes in one of a kind shops I ask permission to take photos and let them know it will be free advertisement on my blog. Other times I sneak around
:0)
Have a Cheerful Sunday!!

Christmas in July happens around here each year. I love Cristmas and during the heat of full summer we break out the Christmas cds, some cocoa, and a few cookies and chat about Christmas. (It's a Half-Christmas Day.) The kids just love it. I just adore the pink ornaments, especially the can-can girl. Thanks for sharing the pink. : )

Merry Pink to you today. I just love pink CHRISTmas trees. My husband would hate it though. He wouldn't melt for me on that one. Hehe! I did see a pink Santa at the thrift store for only 1.99 and I am so upset I did not get him. When I went back he was a goner. No where to be found. Well whoever got him--enjoy. Thanks for sharing your sweetie pinks.

Rhonda,

Thanks for stopping by my blog last week for VTT! I am loving all of the ornaments you took pictures of.

I have to admit, I got a little homesick when you mentioned Calabash! I grew up in Florence, SC and my family spent many a day in North Myrtle Beach at my aunt's house. We'd often go to Calabash for dinner and I am so, so sad that I can't just drive down there and have some tasty shrimp right now! I'm going to be back in SC in September and I think I'll see if my family wants to take a little drive for some seafood!!

Oh yeah, I *love* my Cricut- I bought it at Walmart in Feb 2007 and I use it all the time. It's fabulous! I think it's really worth the money. And if you buy the Sure Cuts a Lot (craftedge.com!) you will never have to buy another cartridge!

Hope you have a fabulous week!
Lori
