I would love to tell you that I planned and intentionally put only one wreath on the double doors. I had one on each door, but with the carpenters coming in and out, the hook wouldn't hold. So, now I like to think of the remaining wreath as an extension of my fall display! LOL!
And on the other side of the back doors, another fall display....
Still needs a little tweaking, at least a few more mums and pumpkins.
Check out the rooster, decked out in his finest for the season! :)
From the outside of the house, everything is just peachy, or should I say just pumpkiny! :) Looks like a normal clean, organized house ready for the Fall season, right???
Anything but!
Come on in and see my shame! LOL!
The Seemingly Neverending Remodeling Project...
Why is it so hard to finish one room before moving on to another??? Ah, men! LOL! If they weren't doing such a great job, it would be harder to choke down! In our area, new construction has stopped, so skilled carpenters are looking for any work! ...which was fortunate and a blessing for us! Four homes right around us are doing remodeling projects for the first time in the three years we have been here.
Most of the white walls in the picture below were painted the taupe today, by me! I pitched in to help paint, hoping to move things along a little faster! :)
The marble floors will be coming up tomorrow, and making way for new tile...
I guess from the outside you would never know just how bad things are on the inside! But, slowly they are coming together! If I just maintain my sanity until then! LOL!

Yay! Am I the first to tell you how nice the display looks out front (and back)?
You make me want to put mine out.
I just love that little flag stand you have with your monogrammed flag. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for one of those.
It's going to be so gorgeous when you're done you won't even remember the mess. And I gotta say I'm really glad you're banishing those glass blocks! It will be so much prettier with a railing. I can't wait to see the end result!!!
This little peek at your house has me absolutely dying to see more! What a beautiful home you have!! I know what you mean about the mess. Every room of my house was packed with totes and I sorted through every one of them to make sure what I wanted to sell, donate, and give away. It was a prolonged process. Now it's hard to get the contractors here bz our job is so small. There is still plenty of work for contractors around here so I'm not a priority especially with cooler weather coming. We got the new door installed last week and now the plumber must get here soon!! At least you can see progress with yours! LOL!!
Your fall decorations are lovely, even if you do only have one wreath! I love unusual pumpkins like that. We make a trip to our local pumpkin patch every year and I find all different sorts.
I know it must be such a pain to have the house torn up, but it will be so worth it when you're done. I'm just loving the new trim, and the new stair banister will be a nice change!
Everything looks so fallish. I love it!! I know what you mean about projects. I never finish on before I have another going on. Just like books I always ready two at the same time. CRAZY that's me! Come over to my blog and register for my giveaway.
Sorry about the misspellings. I never proofread!! HA! My fingers walk faster than my brain.
Hey Rhonda - TJ Maxx. Love that place!
Hi Rhonda,
Even with the mess, I think you have a very lovely home. Your fall decorations are elegant and I just love seeing your home and ideas. :)
Warmly, Deb
Rhonda! The decor looks WONDER"FALL"!! I also love the G flag you have, I think that would look cute in front of my home too. Hugs! Vanessa
Hi Rhonda,
Your outside looks so fall and festive...it looks to me like you have a very elegant home. I can't wait to see more pictures. Hang in there, it will all come together.
Hugs,
LeAnn:)
Hey,
I can tell you have a beautiful home even if it is a diamond in the rough!
The outside looks wonderful.
Diane
The fall decorations are really lovley. I like that white pumpking. Very nice. Oh, I would put your rooms to shame after a busy week at school. I wouldn't dare photograph them. I have piles every where that need to be put away.
You house looks beautiful to me and very spacious! I could live with a little clutter to enjoy a home like yours. :)
take care,
Dawn
Loved the outside decorations.
It won't be long until everything in the house will be new and looking fantastic..then you can put all the fall items out.
Love your decorations. Especially the ones at the front of the house. We used to do a lot of painting in previous houses, but most of the walls in this house are too high for amateur painters especially old amateur painters. We painted some of the walls that are not so high. I love to paint but hate the prep and cleanup. Thanks for sharing.
Just saw your front doors and had to ask if that shade might just be Martha Stewart's Shiraz? Looks sooo similar to my front door color. Your front doors are so much prettier, though. Okay, back to finish reading, lol! :)
ooo, Rhonda...even with the construction mess, your home is so beautiful. I just love everything about it. I know you must be so excited to be having all this done. There's nothing like getting new things for the house, especially like THESE you are getting! WOW
And, your outside decorations are just FABULOUS...I love that light colored pumpkin!
love, bj
Your home is gorgeous! Mess and all! Love how you have the front steps decorated!
Love the beautiful entry! I have done the inside, but have yet to decorate much on my porch. Wonderful pics - enjoyed it!
yeah, what Nikkicrumpet said and also that is so cute that he stashed his John Deere's under the couch when he was supposed to pick them up - that sounds like some other little boy I know....LOL ~ Robyn
The bad thing about redoing the inside is ; you can't move out ! And it seems like you are forever moving everything from one room to another. But it will be worth it.
It is looking great.
Rhonda, your outside decor looks fantastic! The inside will be worth the mess!!! It's soooo hard to live in the mess, but think of the fun you will have putting it all back together! Nancy
Rhonda, it's great to be back in touch! :)
I can't wait to see the inside once the remodeling is completed -- from what's already been done, I think it's fabulous!!! :)
Beautiful outside. The inside is pretty now, so it will be gorgeous. BTW - I hope you are hanging on to some of those glass blocks. I wish I would remember to go buy some...I have a couple of ideas for them.
Your house still looks great, even with the mess. Love the front entryway. :-)
Hi Rhonda... LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Fall decorations! The "special" Pumpkin is such a soft, lush color... how neat that the Farmer has saved those seeds for so long!
I think your home is just so beautiful, even with the "tweaking" that is going on... but, I know it's making you nuts with things not being in order inside. Hey... I've seen much worse!! I'm praying for your sanity, sweet Friend!! LOL
So glad you've been enjoying my Vintage Eye Candy posts! Tons more to come... Hope your day goes well... God bless...
~hugs, love 'n prayers~

I love your fall decorating!
Your interiors will be fabulous. It's the same here, with new construction. We were able to get the roof repair taken care of extremely quickly!
Your fall decorating outdoors is just beautiful! And soon, the indoors will be finished and it will be beautiful as well. Hang in there. Some of these things just take a little more time than others.
BTW, stop by my blog, I have something for you. :-)
Love your fall decor. The inside of your home is coming along wonderfully!! Your house if beautiful!!
Blessings,
Sher
Holy moly. Is your house as big as it looks??? Everything looks gorgeous...even with everything going on! Can't wait to see it all finshed!
You make me feel so guilty because my outside looks just like it did in the middle of summer.
Your house is gorgeous and it shows, even though you're in the middle of redoing it. Make sure you show the after pictures.
Wow I don't envy you .... but the end results will be worth it.

Hi, Rhonda, your fall decor looks great! Just beautiful. And what a lot of renovations going on. I'm sure it will all be worth it though. Sounds great..
I can't wait to see all that you do. It will look marvelous when it heads towards completion. Besides we love all the stories and commotion along the way, the good and the bad, the ordinary. Believe me we can all relate!
It isn't so bad, at least you have a goal in mind! And we love pictures of all the process!
Blessings,
Debbie
Three words gorgeous, amazing, fabulous. I just love your house and all you are doing. Your fall decorations are so pretty. Kathi
