Friday at the Formal....

(Ashley...second from right, navy blue dress)

Spring ushers in an influx of activity,
...and this weekend was no exception!

Friday night was Ashley's Formal. Very similar to a Prom, but she attends a private Christian school, and since there is no dancing, they have deemed it a "FORMAL."

They are eligible to attend when they are freshman, so this was Ashley's first year.

The evening entailed a wonderful, tasty meal & social, ...and was held at a local B&B, that has been renovated for special occasions, primarily weddings and receptions.

The girls met at our house before the formal, for pictures and light refreshments, and then were back at the close of the night, to spend the night!

(Ashley, middle)

On their way...

This picture below, touched my heart!

I realize that soon they will be walking out into the world...

"I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for your harm, to give you a future with hope." Jeremiah 29:11

All but one of the girls started kindergarten together....Oh, how they have grown into young ladies!

I entrust them in your care, dear Lord!

Loaded up and ready to roll...
I was secretly so glad that I was driving them to the Formal this year, and not a boy!
(They are only freshmen!)
The girls decided to go together as a group, but one of the girls stated,
"Maybe next year we'll have a date!"
I say, maybe, maybe not! :)

I'm enjoying the journey....but they grow so awful fast!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Your daughter is so pretty. They really look like they are having a great time. It is sad when your kids grow up but also exciting for them. My daughter is 25 now.
Hope to see you again. I will be back.

Oh I remember those days with my daughter. She too went to a Christian school. I can still remember her freshman year and she is 24 now. Time goes soooo fast!! I knew that was your daughter because she was the prettiest one. The other girls were pretty too but she was definitely the prettiest.

Hugs,
LeAnn :)

Hi and welcome to the world of blogging! I read your comment over at BeachKat's which stated you were rather new to all this. Isn't it a hoot?
I enlarged the photos of the girls. Honey sakes, they are all so pretty! But then again, most of us southern belles are! At least my hubby thinks so!Blessings to you as you enjoy these days. My son was homeschooled but attended the formals and homecomings and played sports all through out high school at a local Christian school which as an umbrella program for homeschoolers. I really miss going to see him play ball, dress up for formals, buying his dates corsages, etc.! Time really does fly. My boy is 21 as of last Sunday!boo hoo
