TODAY was that day! I was on such a roll, my Hardees Biscuit had to be put off! I was on a mission, finding something at each yard sale! I was pretty proud of the junk I brought home today! "smiles"
The tongs were 10 CENT!!!
The old metal beige trash can is in great shape, purchased for a whole 25 cents! The inside is GOLD.The pyrex and metal pans were 25 cents each, too! I was pretty excited to find the pyrex dish! I had broken mine this size, before Christmas, and refused to buy a new one...I knew one would pop up at a yard sale!
And then there is the Maxine cookie jar by J. Wagner....in perfect condition! It really doesn't go with my rooster & fruit kitchen decor, but maybe I can use it in my pantry. It is sure to bring a smile when I open the door and there she sits...full of cookies, no doubt! Oh, she was $4.00, I believe!
Another view of Maxine!
The serving set was $8.00, probably a little high, but it was really nice...and new! The pieces are really beautiful! Plus, I found it at the Relay For Life yard sale, and all the proceeds were going to the American Cancer Society! I was feeling a little generous for such a good cause! :)
Sally Huss Tote/Bag...only $3.00! The lady said she never used it, so I guess that qualifies as Brand New! I just loved the colors and I love Sally Huss designs...so cheerful & bright!
The little glass bowls were 25 cents a piece! They come is so handy and had no chips!
I just loved the little stocking taper holders! I included another picture just to show them off a little better! LOL! They were new and were only $2.00!

Holy Moly Rhonda! You did Fantastic on your "junking" trip today! I love the strawberry basket, can you imagine the sweet little old lady who used it? Geez! i never find anything close to what you got today! :) I was also scrolling down a bit to read your other posts and something made me gasp! I LOVE that footstool! That and the mirror would be something I would be jumping up and down over in the store! Just beautiful! and lucky you that your hubby told you to "take your time" while he snoozed. wow! Sounds like a perfect day to me! :)

What a jackpot of a day you had at the yard sales. How could someone get rid of that strawberry basket it was so cool. I think you did great with all of your purchases. I really liked the rooster platter too. I'm sure I will be showing more Jadite little by little so I do not look like the crazy Jadite lady. hahaha
You gotta lotta good loot there!! I want to go shopping with you! But then we might have a tug-of-war over some of the things!!
You asked about Beth Moore bible studies, we haven't done any, but my daughter does them a lot, and she give me her books.
My group is now doing Stormie Omartian's book "The Power of a Praying Woman." It's great!

Hello Rhonda! Just stumbled across your blog and have enjoyed reading it. I too am a yard sale junkie. Friday I went to the local school PTA yardsale and bought a pair of "brand new" in the box ice skates from 1965. The mailing label is still on them.
I have no idea what I will do with them as I live in SW Virginia and it nevers gets cold enough to be able to skate on any ponds! LOL
Blessings
Linda
