Saturday, we headed over to my paternal uncle's for a family reunion, where we enjoyed a pig-pickin' & swimming in the pool. I didn't take many pictures, because the food was delicious, and I spent most of my time eating and visiting...but mostly eating! "smiles"
My uncle is a retired Lt. Colonel, from the Air Force, and served his time as a pilot!
His yard is beautiful! I did get the picture above, and of the daylilies below, which are just beginning to bloom!
After church on Sunday, we met friends, Jeanna and Ricky, and their family, at our farm. We shared buckets of chicken from the colonel's, while the children rode the four-wheeler and dune buggies.
The farm has been in my husband's family for over 100 years.
The Farmhouse...
A little over two years ago, we began restoring the old farm house. It has been a very slow process, working on it a little as we go. God willing, this is where Kevin and I will one day retire, after the last child graduates from high school!
Looks like a Hee Haw Reunion on the front porch, huh?
Remember Grape Ape??? Wonder if he ever rode a motorcycle...
David was so excited that he found a mud hole... But that's okay, he was going home with Ms. Jeanna! LOL!
The chase is on....
Jeanna and her daughter, Haley
The girls did pretty good, after they learned to switch gears... I do hope neither are looking for a straight drive when they turn 16!
Josh gives the boys a tow after they ran out of gas!
Holding on for dear life, amidst the dust storm!
The picture below was taken last March ('07), after we tore the original siding off of the house, and added a wrap around porch and sun room to the back.
We gutted the inside of the house...still have a long way to go!
The outing is over and we are on our way home!
Josh lets Coco listen to some tunes!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend ! ~Rhonda

What a wonderful time you had. It's so much fun when family gets together.
Well, duh! I somehow transmitted my post above without my name.
I'll try again. Have a great day.
Hi Rhonda!
Looks like a great time!!

What a beautiful home you have. I love my porch but it's nothing like yours! I thought that I got the eclair recipe from your web site but I guess not as I can't find it. Well, whoever posted it we tried it yesterday and it was yummy! My daughter Kellianne will be getting her learner's permit in the next couple of weeks...where did the time go! She's my third to learn to drive and I must admit it's nice when they can drive themselves to all their activities! Have a great day today.
What a darlin' photo of Coco with headphones on! Too cute!
Looks like you guys were having fun. Gosh, I think the farmhouse sounds like a great place to retire. I'd love to see more photos as you go along.
Have a wonderful Memorial Day.
Hugs!

Correct that to the fourth child to learn to drive! In Utah the law just changed so they can have their license up to six months before they turn 16 so they can get their license on their birthday. Thanks for stopping by. I'll have to catch up on my blog reading after work today but it looks like you had fun!!
AUGGGH, make that "have their learner's permit" up to six months before their 16th birthdays! It's going to be a long day here at work!
It sounds like you are having a wonderful weekend! I love all of the pictures!

Hi Rhonda, what a great time your family had, and I simply love your home. I'm a sucker for wrap around porches. I'm winding down today, I really need it, I'll let Judge Judy make the noise today.:O) I love her. I'm so happy everyone enjoyed or is right now enjoying their holiday. Deb
Looks like you all had a wonderful time, Rhonda!
The farmhouse is beautiful.

What a fun weekend! I remember family get-togethers like that and I miss them so much! The farmhouse is gorgeous! Oh I could sit on that porch with a glass of iced tea and gab for hours! Actually, I could gab for hours w/o tea and a porch but it would be much more fun there! lol!!! Please keep us posted with pictures of the progress! Oh how I love remodeling and construction!
My husband is doing a side job ALL weekend so I have been killing time painting everything I can get my hands on and visiting blogs.... fun, but just doesn't seem like Memorial Day without the cook-out!
I love the pictures of your kids on the sidebar! They are all gorgeous kids.
Have a great evening dear!!

Hi Rhonda... What a great and fun time it looks like y'all had! We used to do big family gatherings when my parents were alive... but now folks seem to have drifted a bit... things were very quiet here today. Loved seeing Coco with her headphones... heheheee!
