Weekend Tractor Pull & Show...

Weighing in...and we are now ready to pull...

As I stated in my profile, it is always an adventure around here, and this is just ONE of our hobbies! LOL!

This weekend was the 16th White Oak Annual Tractor Pull and Show.

My husband collects and restores antique tractors, and we have been pulling for about 3 years! I don't even bother to ask how many tractors he has anymore, because I wouldn't want to make an otherwise honest man, lie! LOL!

As his uncle James used to say, "Ask me no questions, I'll tell you no lies!"

Saturday, we came in 1st and 3rd, but unfortunately, Sunday was rained out!

Josh pulling...

Loading up the John Deere 70 in the rain...

My Dad's antique John Deere 420 Crawler...
(One of his many tractors too, LOL!, but I think the neatest!)

Rained out on Sunday, and heading home...

Hope your weekend was a memorable one also...

Tea Pot Forgotten....

I was getting ready to cook supper and realized I had forgotten to include one of my favorite "Pots", in the tea pot post! It actually is not a tea pot, but a Drip-O-Later Coffee Pot, made by The Enterprise Aluminun Co., in Massillon Ohio. I think it is pretty as a Tea Pot! :) Now, on to feed the hungry family~

Sharing my Tea Sets...

Sharing a few of my favorite Tea Sets....
This is part of a set of china that I inherited from my beloved grandmother, who passed away on Valentines Day 2006, at the age of 93. She was a precious, dear soul and her love of "junkin'," bargain hunting, and creativity transcended the generations. She found this, who knows how many years while yardsale'ing! (Lochs of Scotland, Loch Leven, Royal Warlick)

It is one of my most cherished belongings! :)

Part of my Noritake Azalea China...."How befitting of the South!"
I have collected over eight place settings, many bowls, platters, and other extras, but have not found a Tea Pot yet!

This is a tea cart my dad, ("my junkin' buddy"), found at an auction!
The tea set was a birthday present from my mother-in-law several years ago, by I. Godinger & Co.

"What a neat idea!"
This is a Silver Tea Pot Wind Chime that I found at a state fairgrounds flea market. The craftsman was onsite and it was hard to choose just one! I still have not found the perfect spot for it to hang outside!

New Beginnings

I am so excited to be starting this blog! My inspiration was Heather over at Rues PB&J Life. She has a wonderful, inspiring & funny blog, and I have enjoyed hers and the others I linked onto from her site! And I'm excited that I have an outlet to journal, and to capture and record memories of my family! I have so many thought and ideas for blogs, I don't know where to begin, I feel as a dam about to burst! :) ....stay tuned!
