- Scooterblu's Whimsy~Rhonda
- Welcome to my blog! I'm delighted you stopped in to catch a glimpse of my everyday life! There is always an adventure in the making around here! My name is Rhonda, 41, and I live near the coast in North Carolina. My wonderful husband, Kevin, who spoils me beyond measure, is a true gem to behold! We were married after college, 17 years ago! We have made our home in a small town, in the same county we were both raised in! I am blessed to be a "stay at home mom" to Ashley, 16, David, 10, and an "adopted" son, Josh, 18, and two dogs, Bailey & Coco! Shopping and decorating are my passion. I also like to read and scrapbook, when I can find time, and am beginning to enjoy cooking. I love to explore little towns with dusty, dark antique/thrift stores to hunt for my next "treasure!" ...junking you could say! Love to shop and sell on Ebay and browse RMS for inspiration and ideas! (RMS ID: Southerndecor) I thank God for my Family and the life he has provided for me, but most of all, I thank Him for His mercy & gift of eternal life. I cherish most that my family and I are all saved by His wonderful grace!

He sure was a beautiful man. I never get tired of seeing him or hearing him!
Sure do love him still. I had a chance to see him in July of '77 in Las Vegas . . . being 17 and too cool to see him we went to see Peter Frampton instead. Of course Elvis died the following month and I have been kicking myself ever since for missing this once in a lifetime opportunity. I was too cool then I guess.

That is Elvis at his best....I LOVE all Elvis and never get tired of the music and shows with him...his death was so sad...nice post!
You know, I wasn't a fan until after his death...we went to Graceland in '87 and people from all over the world were still bringing floral sprays to lay on his grave 10 years later. Bo
I remember my Dad listening to his songs when I was a kid... My uncle who lived in Colorado back in the 60's used to send to my Dad lot's of "LP". Great song! :) Vanessa
Morning Scooter...oh I loved Elvis and even now I cry when I hear him sang...I wasn't one of those screaming teenage fans....I just always thought he was such a part of history..he was like no other...I remember sitting in the living room with my new born son when the news came on the TV that he had died..I just sat there silently rocking the baby as tears fell down my face..I loved hearing him sang gospel songs...
Oh Rhonda!! That Elvis was so special. I dreamed about him so much after he died! What a beautiful song, too!

I still miss him. There will never be another to compare to him in my book. He was too pretty to be a man. LOL. And his daughter looks just like him.

Our grandson, Drew was born on Elvis' birthday, in 2006. Anyone walking past the waiting room, that night, could here Drew's family, singing Elvis songs, as we awaited our precious boy's arrival.

There will never be another like him, he was such an amazing talent. I remember the day he died, I cried for a week atleast. I used to love watching his movies on tv, they would have Elvis week every so often and I would hurry home from school to tune in. *smiles*

Morning Rhonda! This post was a great way to start my morning!! I wish we had someone that could compare to Elvis now a days! Only one to come close is Josh Groban when he sings in English!lol Taking down wallpaper huh! My heart goes out to you dear it is a bugger!!lol Especially if it is the old stuff that sticks like it is embedded in! Been there done that! Take it slow it will come off!!!
