{month in review}

It has been a crazy, busy month for us!

I am now working part-time, which I wasn't looking to do. But as the saying goes, "You have to do what you have to do!" :) And so far it has been going well. I don't have a lot of extra time for hobbies such as blogging...unfortunately. But I am actually able to keep up with my housework, which I believe is due to better management of my time. That is a positive! :)

Below are highlights of what has been going on in our lives this month....

{Harlem Globe Trotters}
I was about David's age when I last saw the Globe Trotters.
Several weeks ago, they were playing at the local college, and Kevin and I took the kids.
They were very entertaining and David thought it was the best thing ever!

{Prom}
Oh, yes, it is that time of the year again.
Last year, just a bunch of the girls from Ashley's school went together. This year, they had dates with guy friends from their class. Being 5 minutes from the school, our house turned in the central dressing and meeting place, i.e. GRAND CENTRAL STATION! After the prom, Ashley hosted an After-Formal Party at our lake house. They are a great group of kids and we always enjoy having them....and feeding them! LOL!
~~~
Below, Ashley primping until the last minute....
Ashley and her date share a laugh,
...and I caught the moment!
I think the kids get a little annoyed that I always have a camera in hand, but they are getting used to it! LOL!
Ashley and Zach
Our niece, Katie and MIL, Frances came down for the afternoon.
One bunch of happy girls...
The limo arrives...
Ashley's date rented a limo for all to ride.
(Just a few have their licenses.)
And they are off to the prom....
{Easter}
Ashley and David continued the tradition of coloring eggs.
Ashley's creations....
David's....
I finally found my Easter Decorations.
They were in Kevin's warehouse, between two old tractors. I think they had "help" getting there, and it wasn't by me! Leaves me to wonder....
I just happened to find them by pure accident!
Today, I am cleaning and packing them away for another year.
Soap dish in the Guest Bath
My Grandmother B. made the ceramic eggs years ago when I was a child. They are certainly a treasure of mine!
$2.00 Yard Sale Pillow! :)
Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!
I missed my ONE YEAR Blogging Anniversary, which was at the end of March. And I am quickly approaching my 200th post! So I will be hosting a Give-Away next week to celebrate the two! ....stay tuned!
Sorry I'm not able to blog and visit consistantly! Miss you all, and will be around when I can!
~Rhonda :)
Sounds as if life is full and busy. Don't worry about a thing. We'll visit you until you can find some spare time. Has anyone ever told you that Ashley looks like a young Elizabeth Taylor? My goodness, she's beautiful!
Take care and have as much fun as possible at that part-time job.
I LOVE all the prom pictures....they are awesome! How neat to have had them all at your home getting ready and primping.
I work a very part-time job and love it. I always hope I don't end up having to go back to full-time. Hopefully you will get used to yours quickly.
We saw the Harlem Globetrotters a couple of years ago and they did put on a GREAT show.
Been missing you and what all that was happening in your life and the life of the family.
With working - even part time - there are not enough hours in the day.
Enjoyed catching up - pictures were great. The children are really growing up.
Don't know what kind of work you are doing - but try to enjoy it as much as possible.
Your new blog dress is so pretty and fresh.
I'll keep a lookout for your giveaway.
I have not been to Wilmington's Target in a very long time so I don't know if they carry the birdies.
They were out here though.
I hope you find a pair. They are cute aren't they.
Have a wonderful weekend.
I'm sorry my music nearly blew you out of the chair. I actually think I'm going to get rid of it soon. I never have time to listen to it bz when I'm checking blogs I usually have my headset on bz I'm at work waiting for things to download. I hope you're liking your new part-time job. You're right that we do what we have to do. That picture of Ashley sitting in the limo was absolutely stunning and my favorite of the bunch!! They look like a good bunch of kids. I've never ridden in a limo, ever. It wasn't an option when we did prom. Sorry I blabbered on so much, but I missed you and I'm glad to see you back! Cindy
