This super cute idea, was the brainchild of my Mother-in-law, Frances.
She is crafty and creative like that! :)
Anyhow, last night she sent me home with instructions and supplies, to complete this project for her. She wanted "no sew~gluegunned pillows" similar to the ones I made in {this} post.
She purchased 3 pillows, like the one above for $2.50 each at a local "five n' dime" store, along with the orange shower curtain, which was $5. I now have plenty of fabric/curtain left over for other projects or 3 more pillows of my own. She suggested the fabric covered rings could be used for napkin rings!
~~~
Below,
The pillows will be used outside on a settee, so she wanted them encased in plastic bags.
Note: The letters wouldn't stick on the shower curtain very well, even though it is fabric, so we glued them in place with fabric-tac glue. I'm afraid an iron would "melt" the fabric, so letters placed with wonder-under probably wouldn't be an option either. My suggestion...letters traced on black heavy felt and then glued in place.
A frightening sight to behold...B.O.O. Pillows!
I know, I know, these are too cute to be scary!
Thanks to Frances, for the great Metamorphosis idea,
transforming these pillows! :)
I may just have to make a set of these for myself!
Kathy
Great idea. Those are adorable!!
This is what I love about the way you decorate. You always pay such attention to the little things and the details. Your mother-in-law must be incredible with decorating too! Love these pillows!
Your MIL is certainly a creative lady, and you are a good worker. Hey, you got some FREE decorations! I love those yellow flowers right next to the pretty bench. What a nice welcome.
I love this, Rhonda!!
I enjoyed catching up with all your beautiful Fall decorating. I lost your link when I went .com!! I'm taking it with me, and putting it on my list!
You shouldn't say that unless you mean it Rhonda bz if we get a good tax refund the first thing I'll do is give you a call and come stay at that beautiful Lake house! You just made my day. Yes, it's been busy but I've got a few posts in the works. I just need to finalize them. I better enjoy it now though bz after December we'll have one less person living here and it's going to be sooooooo lonely! Sniff, sniff.....but it will all be good. He's doing the right thing for the right reason so somehow his old mom will survive the two years! Me
Those pillows are just:
"BOO-itful"... :)
Thanks for sharing this cute idea.
Thanks for visiting me!
Warmly,
Deb :)
I had to read the post I missed and become a follower :)
Your home is very lovely and when it's on the tour...many people will also tell you and they get to see it in person.
Thanks for the pumpkin in the photo idea too.
Hi Rhonda- Thanks for visiting. Glad I could be of some inspiration to you. That IS the name of the game with this little meme, isn't it? *grin*
How cute did your pillows turn out! A shower curtain, no less... This cricut machine seems to be the latest rage around for crafters. I've never seen it in action.
:-) Sue
Whoda thought?
A shower curtain... Brilliant!
I sure hope they come back here the lil' cuties. We sure do miss them.
I feel soooo much better these days I can't even believe it! Thanks for the sweet words of encouragement. I like to walk in cooler weather too. It's so much easier. ~Whew!
Wow! Those are so cute. This is one of the most creative uses of a shower curtain that I've ever seen. Nice work!
The orange shower curtain is TDF! Super cute cute cute!
Oh my word - those are TOO stinking cute! I will probably have to borrow this idea in some capacity! Thanks for stopping over and for your input on my door bucket question! Happy Fall!
Too Cute!
Very Creative, love your blog too! Cindy
Those are cute! Love the BOO!
I love this! It actually matches the project I put up on the link ~ a framed BOO.
I want to make these right now! So cute! I love the idea of keeping the pillow in the plastic bag since they will be outside.
TOOOOOOOO Cute! I love them, and I want them! :) LOL!!! Great job!
It has been nice catching up on all your posts. Your home looks so pretty dressed up for fall. You have so many great ideas.
Have a wonderful day.
Rhonda: I'm glad you stopped by! It gave me a chance to come back and see those "boo"tiful pillows once again! Okay, okay, that was corny but I think the fever killed many of my brain cells! Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. I feel much better today though and hope to have something to post soon. I seem to be busy but nothing is really blog worthy right now. I think I bored most of my blogging buddies to death a few weeks ago! I'm glad that you're still on life support though and coming back to see me. I haven't heard anything about the kids lately. Is David still in one piece and up to his daredevil antics? How's the gentleman farming coming this time of year with Kevin. Is he about done harvesting? Did the peanuts come on already and you had your fill of boiled (it was boiled wasn't it?) peanuts? I love your down South stories about your food and traditions! How's Ashley doing? Is she driving yet? Take care and I'll talk to you later! The boss man says I have to go back to work (today it's Larry bz I actually have a full day off, yay!). I'm secretly plotting how I'm going to redo Travis' room when he leaves. Having that project going is going to keep me sane the first few months he's out. Sigh....I'm really going to miss that kid but at least I know he's doing the right thing. :)
Okay, this is sad. Do you notice that my comments are always 5 times as long as anybody elses?! I need to learn to quit talking so much, LOL!
They really are too cute! Great to find you here as the last few times I've been here, which have been too few, you've been off being busy. Love all the autumnal touches in your home, too!
Cute cute cute! I love it!
Sincerely ~ Tricia Anne
VERY cute project!!!
Such cuteness!! Love it! Hope you are enjoying a wonderful weekend!
Hello Rhonda~ The B-O-O pillows are perfect on the settee. The color really pops. This idea would be great for Christmas too.
It was pretty creative to use the shower rings as napkins rings.
What a find... that brass fan screen was. I would have grab it too. I love all the intricate details.
I've really got to get some decorating accomplished. In the spirit of the Halloween season, I have managed to polish off a bag of candy corn that I was suppose to use for a photo shoot. I did have an accomplice...my hubs who made the trip to the store to buy the candy corn.
Sweet wishes,
Sara
How clever of your MIL ... and of you, for executing this wonderful idea!
