"He was calling my Name!"

You know those pieces!
You fall in love with them,
but just can't make up your mind
whether to take them home or not.
Maybe the price isn't right, which was the problem with the rabbit below.
Or maybe you aren't quite sure you have somewhere to put them.
So you walk away....
But each time you go back, that piece is there,
calling your name!
"Take me home....Take me home!"
Such was the case.
The little rabbit was $10.00 at a local consignment shop,
which I thought was a bit much!
He sat patiently on the shelf for months, and was passed over by many a shopper.
Never marked down, which would have expedited his adoption I'm sure.
And then after Christmas,
with my home looking so bare and bleak,
I decided he would add some much needed color, even if only subtlety.
So home he came.
To sit on the foyer table,
and greet those that visit.
And to bring a smile to me,
as I come and go.
'Cause he certainly is a handsome little fellow,
isn't he? :)

I adore bunnies and have many. However, none like this one. He's a beauty and makes a very fine addition to your home.. He would make me smile each and every time I walked by him. I believe he's gone to a very good home.

O, yes, Scooter...he BELONGS just where you put him. Cute cute!

Re: South Beach Diet seems to be a fairly easy eating change. The first 2 weeks are killers...then, after that, it seems we can add whole wheat flour for pancakes and breads. Like you, the sweets and the breads are the 2 things I would choose if I could have only 2 kinds of food for the rest of my entire life! But...Splenda is working for me, so far...and I am hoping I will be able to make a whole wheat biscuit and use sugar free jellies...oh, my......

Rhonda, you'll have to come down and join me for shopping one day this summer! We're 2 lights up from Barefoot Landing. We have a patio home there that is nothing special, but we're glad to have it. As I put on my Facebook page, the weather is always gorgeous when I leave the beach!

It WAS a quicker commute. It takes 5 hours by the time we stop twice for gas/bathroom breaks when we go I-77 to Columbia. I didn't know there was a new Goodwill on Hwy. 9 until we went back that way. It looked nice too. We use to come back that way all the time (thru W-ville & E-town) when we lived in Raleigh. I miss coming that route, except when we got behind slow pokes (I have a need for speed! LOL!) I have always wanted to go to that flea market in W-ville. That is a nice G-will on Hwy. 544. Hope you found some good buys! Have a nice week!

BTW, I almost bought a green frog made of pottery), like the one you show in the picture this weekend. Thought he would be cute on the ledge over my shower, but I wasn't sure he was $25 cute, so I didn't! LOL!

Sounds like that bunny was waiting just for you...no telling how many times he scampered away to hide when someone paid him notice, as he waited patiently for you. He is too cute.

Hi Rhonda

I ahve seen this bunny in catalogs for an expensive price and always admired it ...you got a good deal and it looks perfect on your table.
Thank you for your very nice comment on my blog --I truly appreciate it. I followed the link on your sidebar to Bella Mella's webiste(new to me)and reading of her sorrow I wonder how I could complain about anything? God bless her.

Just had to come back and look at this cute little guy! Hope you're having a great day! It's snowing out my window but I welcome that. It actually warms up when it snows and the snow clears out the bad air that gets trapped between the mountains! Life is looking good today!
