A True Friend

A TRUE FRIEND,
not only remembers YOU at Christmas,
{with homemade fudge and a Vera Bradley Christmas Ornament, ...may I interject! "smiles"}
But also your dog,
with a thoughtful, special treat!
My friend, Robin,
knowing that Coco gets one hot dog first thing in the morning, and another in the evening,
brought this package wrapped with festive ribbon, along with gifts for our family during Christmas.
How sweet was that!
I am so blessed to have wonderful "local" friends,
and great blogging buddies, as well!!!
I couldn't agree with the quote below, more!

"A cheerful friend is like a sunny day spreading brightness all around."
- John Lubcock ( English Astronomer )

~~~
Speaking of "a sunny day",
no sun here,
although we did miss the snow!
It's just wet and cold this morning,
no WHITE stuff, much to the kid's disappointment!
It's a good day, to stay in where it's warm,
and finish putting up my Christmas decorations!
TODAY IS THE DAY...I will finish!
...I hope! :)
~Rhonda
What a sweet friend because your animals ARE part of your family!! No snow here either but it is frigid. With the wind chill our temp right now feels like -1...BRRRRRRR
She really is a true friend, to you and Coco! Try to stay warm down there. My blogging friend in Houston had her pipes freeze overnight. Houston, Texas! She's never had anything like that happen before she said. I haven't had it happen in this house but it did in our mobile home when we were newlyweds. We sure are seeing a very frigid winter all across the US this year. I'm pretty scared to get our next heating bill bz the heater is constantly running! Will you visit me in the poor house after it comes, lol!
Dogs and cats are such a part of any family so it is nice when they receive a welcome gift from a friend.
All my decorations (except outdoor ones) are put out in the shed. Temps have been too cold the last few days to tackle that job. Last time I checked the wind chill was 6 below zero. So they will just have to stay out a bit longer.
Have a fun weekend.
That is a true and thoughtful friend. We missed the snow. It rained last night, so we have ice on the roads in spots, and school was delayed for 2 hours, but I'm glad they won't have to make it up.
That was VERY sweet!!! It's the 'little' things that really matter, that doesn't look right but you know what I mean!
We were bitterly disappointed at the weather, Bah! Stupid weather forecasters!
That's how you can tell a true friend...wonderfully practical gifts. You've got me a little confused with your last line. ;>
What a dear friend to remember your sweet baby. And to bring him his favorite treat is just so nice!
I had to laugh at your comment about the girdle. Your husband's comment, "zoot suit," is too funny.
Would you believe that I went into a thrift shop today and I counted at least six spanx contraptions hanging on display!!!
~~hugs~~
What a sweet friend to do that for your fur baby and for you, too! :-)
Hope you stay warm. I am not one who likes cold weather, and we are shivering down here in Florida. Cold be gone!
XO,
Sheila :-)
What a nice early morning surprise to see a comment from you! I have to be to work at 6:00 a.m. so it gets a little lonely in blogland during the early hours and I feel like I'm all alone here, lol! It's funny bz I thought of you too when I got my heat bill yesterday! They almost had to call the paramedics to revive me, lol! I need to figure out how I'm going to pay for it now bz the poor house has too many people there now and won't let me in, lol! Hopefully 2010 will turn around for both of us. At least, hopefully it will warm up a tad. I think those polar ice caps every one has been so worried about have to have hardened up pretty good this winter, don't you?! Oops, didn't mean to get political there, it's just it's been so blasted cold, unseasonably so for us too. I laugh bz Kaje' asked for a Snuggie for Christmas and got one. Maybe she was onto something back then and just isnt' letting me know about it. Oh well, back to work for me. At least when I work I have a small heater in my office and stay pretty toasty! Oh no, now I'll have to fear the electric bill for it, lol!
