But "baby steps," here, please, I didn't intend on starving....or to go cold turkey from eating, just cut back.
For dessert, I lit a candle, a Christmas gift from my SIL.
Chocolateness Legacy Candle, by Root. The smell is heavenly. The fragrance alone will satisfy your senses, without the calories, of course. For your "chocolate fix," this is the perfect solution! :)

The recipe below, is one that I have used before when watching my carbs. It is easy and delicious. I intended on fixing it last night for supper, and taking pictures, but had forgotten it has to simmer for 1 1/2 hours. Didn't have time.
Sour Cream Pork Chops
*Boneless pork chops, *onion sliced into rings (optional), *1-8 oz. sliced mushrooms, drained, *1 cup beef broth, *1 tbs. chopped parsley, *1 tsp. prepared mustard, *1/2 tsp. salt and pepper each, *1 cup sour cream
Brown chops, 2 minutes on each side. Place onion over chops, spreading mushrooms over onion. In a small bowl, combine broth, parsley, paprika, mustard, salt and pepper. Pour broth mixture over chops. Cover, reduce heat to med-low and simmer for 1 1/2 hours. Stir in sour cream, and cook an additional 3-4 minutes. Do not let boil.
If you are not watching carbs, the pork chops are wonderful over rice. ~Enjoy!

Oh, I hear you on the size of those frozen meals....I always plan a salad with those, just to feel satisfied!
That chocolate candle sounds luscious!

Chocolate candle...if that would really take the place of chocolate in my normal diet I know I would lose weight.
At my age I should be watching my scales much closer than I do - but a gal has to have some good comfort food from time to time.
Good luck on the diet.
I guarantee that Larry is going to love your pork chops!! I'm buying the ingredients today! I'm in such a rut with cooking. I've thought about doing Nutrisystems now that there's only the three of us but it's so pricey for those meals. I've bought some of these diet frozen meals and I think the same way you do and I end up still hungry after. My best diet secret is to keep busy or sew bz I forget to eat!
I Have a few of "those" meals in the freezer...they are okay~
I WANT CHOCOLATE and NOW...it's so dang hard to stay away from the bad, I mean "good" stuff!!!
Glad Pearl emailed you!
Have a great weekend.
Warmly,
Deb :)
Those pork chops sound delicious and we will definitely have to try them. I sure wish I could be satisfied with a chocolate candle....I bet it smells delicious!!!
Oh and those little meals don't fill me up AT ALL. Like you said about 3 of them "might".
Hope you have a wonderful weekend.♥
Those meals are convenient and that's the best that can be said for them...tasty? Really? Best wishes with your goal. Really!
I have never thought of adding something to them. A good idea for my husband's meal. Thanks, Doylene
They would be a snack for me! Thanks for the yummy pork chop recipe. Ilove chops and am always looking for a new recipe. Yummy!!!!

It sounds good since it has sour cream but I would definitely use light as I do not care for nonfat sour cream. The frozen dinners are made for twigyy and not a regular sized woman but honestly I ate them once for 12 weeks and lost enough wait to equal one large baby so they do work:) Good luck with your new way of eating that will keep you thinner.

Your pork chop recipe sounds delicious. As to the size of the frozen meals - there's not much I can say:-). I hope you are having a wonderful Foodie Friday.
Love it! I can totally relate:)
I think the chocolate candle sounds divine! Good luck!
I so feel your pain. I'm trying to be good and not eat the sugar free cookies my husband brought home today. For dessert, have you tried sugar free popsicles? Sugar free Jell-o is good, too, with a little sf Cool Whip. Not many calories--and you can eat more than one. Always a good thing in my opinion.
Oh Rhonda, I am laughing (objects appear larger in the picture!) I'm afraid that burning a chocolate candle would just make my desire for chocolate more intense! (I'm easly influenced). The pork chops sound like some I used to make and had forgotten about. Thanks for the reminder.
I had to take the site metter off of my blog, because I thought the very same thing you thought - people are visiting and not commenting, so they must not like what they are seeing. It was driving me crazy! Thanks for being such a kind cyber friend. laurie
Rhonda come by and read my latest post!
I've lost 38 pounds since September and have not eaten a single one of those diet box foods. Too much sodium for me.
Fresh and healthy foods are much better. You don't have to be hungry at all I promise. Yay! :)
I just loved your dessert, I've been dieting with my son for about 7 months and have lost about 70lbs; so I grately appreciated your humor.
The very same thought has crossed through my mind when I have pulled those same red boxes out of the freezer! Your dessert candle cracks me up!!
Many best wishes for your goal! You can do it!!
Blessings,
Suzanne :)
I know exactly what you mean about the portion size. :) I do like more of the Smart Ones than Lean Cuisine.
I adjusted to smaller portions sometime ago, but it is what I eat that is the problem.
