Merry Christmas, Darling....

...Happy Anniversary, too!

Friday, Kevin and I celebrated our 16th Anniversary!
God blessed me with a wonderful mate!
I am looking forward to so many more years together!
~ I love you, Rhonda ~

When Kevin and I got married, we decided to start a family right away.
But didn't think it would happen as "right away" as it did! LOL!

Have you seen the movie, Four Christmases???
(Great movie, by the way!)

We have a lot in common with Brad (Orlando), and his two brothers, "Dallas & Denver."
If I tell you Ashley's first name and our honeymoon destination, you'll figure out where I am going with this real fast! Oh, I so hope Ashley doesn't read this post! LOL!

It is pure luxury for us to escape off to ourselves, even for just a little while!
So that we did, we crossed the state line, for a wonderful lunch at O'Hara's in Mullins.
The restaurant is nestled on the bottom floor of an old boarding house.
I did a post months back on Webster's in Mullins. Both are very good!
O'Hara's was decorated beautifully in festive decor,....

Come take a tour with me....
Beautiful collections of Antiques and China...

Close-up of the gorgeous candlesticks on the piece above...

The main dining room below, looking into the buffet area.

I absolutely fell in love with the mirror below. It was a large piece and beautiful!

Looking back out into the foyer.

Gorgeous, lush swags grace the mantle....

Red Cardinal perched on the candle, thought that a pretty clever idea.

The Blue Dining Room...

Hope you enjoyed the tour!

It is not rude it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

The south really knows how to decorate a room up right! You just don't find this kind of decor and attention to detail in any place I've been to around here! I'm sure it was a happy anniversary. This place is lovely!

Happy anniversary - a few days late...but better than never.

The tour certainly shows the charm of the restaurant. I bet the food is as good too.

Happy Anniversary, Rhonda!

What a beautiful place.

The cardinal sitting on a candle brings back special memories. In the late 60's, J's mother found a tiny cardinal on the ground. Knocked out of the nest, it was abandoned by the parents. She brought the tiny bird in and nurtured it to good health. When it was time for the cardinal to fly the nest, he didn't want to leave. Pete lived with Dorothea until the late 80's when he passed away peacefully. She had a candle in the center of the dining room table. Pete perched there quite often.
