A Friend Needs our Prayers...

A dear blogger friend and her family need our prayers!

Heather's Dad, (from Hopscotch & Hydrangeas), was in an accident. He was hanging a tree stand, and fell 12 feet to the ground. He lay there for a hour, before Heather's brother found him. He was life-flighted to the nearest hospital and transported by squad to a larger trauma center. He couldn't be moved by air the 2nd time, due to severe storms. He suffered a broken wrist, multiple fractures to his left arm, broken pelvis in several places, broken ribs, bruising around his heart, and has a heart arrhythmia. He will be facing surgery in a couple of days, but as I understand it, they are still trying to determine the true extent of his injuries and breaks! Heather is three hours from the hospital, so let's pray for her safety in traveling back and forth. Her dad faces a very long and difficult recovery. He will be out of work for at least 8 weeks, after he returns from the hospital, and is the sole provider of his family. If you follow Heather's blog, you will know that the family not only needs physical healing, but healing "of the heart" also! You can leave comments and I will gladly pass them on to her, or you can go over to her blog and leave them! I know she will appreciate your prayers and encouragement so much!

"Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them." Matthew 18:19-20

I may not be able to make my rounds and visit ya'll today. The carpenters have "pulled the plug" on my internet and cable for the day. I'm trying to get this post up while they are at lunch. I'll be back! ~Rhonda :)

Hi Rhonda,
Thanks so much for the update. She emailed me and told me about his fall but I haven't heard anything since. Things do happen for a reason, nothing by accident. God is working in the midst!!

Hugs,

Rhonda,
Words can not express how grateful I am to you for doing this. I appreciate each and every person who is praying for my Dad and for our family. We serve an Awesome God and He will bring us all though this. I spoke to my Dad yesterday and although he is still in a tremendous amount of pain he was in good spirits! We are so fortunate that he is still with us! I honestly believe that God had His arms around him when he fell and that is why he is doing as well as he is!
Thanks again Rhonda- your kindness is overwhelming. Thanks to everyone who is praying for my Dad!
(((HUGS)))
Heather :)

Hi Rhonda!

Yes, I did get it. Thank you so very much!! I thought I had emailed you or written to you here, but with all the craziness going on I guess I didn't. I'm so sorry.

In fact Annie saw it sitting next to my desk when I took pics of it to blog about and I just haven't. My mind is gone and I haven't visited anyone at all. Please forgive me. My mind is gone, I swear.

I knew about Heather and I feel awful about her situation. In fact I need to email her back too.

Moving is awful, isn't it?

Hugs,
rue
