Window Treatments Complete & Mom's Bragging Rights...

The monogrammed window treatments for the foyer doors are finally complete!
This has been a long process for just two little valances.
The fabric selection took a month, in which Ashley's swatch was chosen.
(She doesn't let me forget that either! "smiles")
Then onto the monogram shop, where the fabric stayed for three weeks.
(The lady was really behind!)
And at the end of yet another week, the panels are sewn and hung.
Project complete!

Bailey our household greeter, takes his post outside, by the front door....

~~~~~~~~
Ashley and David finished school last Monday, but the week was filled with other year end activities...banquets and the annual school art show. Now, school is officially over for the summer and I have a rising sophomore and fourth grader! Where does the time go??? Josh, bless his heart, has nine days left...and then he will be a senior!
I've discussed the "pride thing," although from another perspective, in an earlier post. But do we not as Mothers, have certain liberties when it comes to pride in our children...and are we not allowed certain bragging rights??? I think so... and so I am expressing mine! LOL!
Ashley was awarded the Citizenship Award for the Freshmen Class!
I was very proud of her, to know that she treats others kindly and demonstrates respect for her fellow classmates and teachers!
Great Job, Sweetie! ;)
David was honored with the Music Award for the Third Grade!
I'm very proud of his accomplishment, too!
Just wanted to include a few shots from David's annual art show at school. His art/music teacher is one creative and gifted lady.
This proud mom has a house to clean, so with that I say,
Hope you all have a beautiful day! ~Rhonda
Hi Rhonda... Love the new window treatments... well worth the wait!
And I agree and believe all mom's should have unlimited bragging rights! What awesome awards for your children... I am sooo happy for them ~smiles~
My "baby" just got out of school and graduation is this Thursday evening... so, needless to say, we are busy getting ready for that, and I cry each time I think of it!! Lord, help me, please!
Have fun cleaning... I am going to try to get to some shops, oldest son's b'day is tomorrow! Oh, and my wedding anniversary is today!... OK, I am off!
Hello RHonda! Those window treatments are gorgeous! Love the monogram idea! You sew too? Oh my goodness! Talent just oozes! :)
I just finished some pillows for our balcony but they aren't nearly as exquisite as your panels!! LOL
Congrats to your kids on their awards! How wonderful. Mother's ARE definitely entitled (I think required) to brag on their children!
I am looking forward to seeing that closet of yours!!
Enjoy your evening!
Your window treatments are adorable. All you ladies give me so many ideas for projects and this is another really cute one.
So fun to read about successful childrens efforts, you hear so much negative stuff these days. You have every right to be a proud Mom.
Hugs,
Sue
Hello just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The text in
your post seem to be running off the screen in Ie. I'm not sure if this is a format issue or something to do with browser compatibility but I thought I'd post to let you know.
The design and style look great though! Hope you get the issue resolved soon.
Many thanks
