Appreciation Goodies....

There are many special people we encounter everyday, that impact our lives in a positive way, making our world a little brighter, a little better....

....and even a little wiser!

Nurses, Teachers, ...and our Mothers!

I have been busy this week preparing a few accolades to show appreciation, as this week was nationally set to honor them; National Nurses Week, Teacher's Appreciation Week, and Mother's Day approaching on Sunday! I'd like to share them with you...

To Honor our "Mom Clients," & Nurses, I assembled little goodie bags to distribute...

I started with wonderfully scented, $.33 votives from Wal-mart!

(Strawberry Kiwi, Citrus & Sage, and Apricots & Mangos)

The bush of Gerber Daisies was $3, and were separated into 12 individual flowers.

The white sheer bags were found in the wedding craft section for around $3/12 bags.

The Starlight mints were $1 a bag, which contained about 90 mints, and I used 5 per bag.

I added a little fluff, with crinkled paper gift stuffing, which you can find for $1 at Big Lots, and goes a long way!

I hot-glued a Gerber daisy on to each bag and WHAA~LAA!, here is the finished product!

Ashley is in High School, so honoring your teachers with cute little gifts is so NOT cool, therefore they all got Sausage & Egg Biscuits from Hardees, 2/$2.22!

For David's teachers & school staff, we gave fresh cut flowers. His poor teacher received about 10 candles of some sort and "buucoos" of scented lotions, for Christmas, (LOL!), so I decided I would do flowers for her! What woman doesn't love flowers for any occasion!

Being that I had four to buy for, I went to Wal-mart and got bundles of fresh flowers and separated them. The largest vase was $2.97, for his primary teacher. The smaller vases were $.77 each. I had approximately $20 in the flowers for all four! I added the little ribbon just to tweak my homemade arrangements! "smiles"

The Mother's Association set up a Dessert Bar for the Teachers, and my contribution was a Chocolate Eclair! This a heavenly dessert! ...and easy to make! I usually prepare it the day ahead of whatever church or social function I am going to, so I can just grab it out of the fridge and go! ~Please excuse the tin pan, I thought it best to send a disposable one.
~~~
Chocolate Eclair
2 small pkgs. French vanilla pudding
3 cups milk
1 - 8 oz. Cool Whip
Box of Graham crackers
milk chocolate frosting
Mix pudding and milk. Beat 2 minutes, set aside for 5 minutes. Fold in whipped topping. Line 9 x 13 inch pan with graham crackers. Spread 1/2 of pudding mix over crackers. Add another layer of crackers. Add remaining pudding mix on crackers. Then another layer of crackers. Last, spread chocolate icing on top. Chill for 3 hours or overnight before serving.
If you are a Nurse, Teacher, or fortunate to be someone's Mother....May God Bless you!
You are appreciated! ~Rhonda
I'm all three- a nurse, a teacher, and a mom and right now I'm wishing I was at your house! Those gifts are wonderful and that dessert- I'd be in real trouble if that was sitting in front of me right now! I'm sure the recipients appreciated your thoughtfulness.
Morning Scooter..I was just on my way to tell you I had an award for you...and you beat me to it! lol Girl you truly honor me with your words of kindness and it was the weirdest thing that you made the statement about 'not stop blogging'
You know I left RMS after weeks of agonizing and praying...but I knew I had to and just this morning I was questioning where or not to keep on blogging...I became so attached to so many people On RMS and I always wanted to be an encourager to all my friends on there and then I started this blog and I find myself talking to myself (oh don't worry that is normal for me) asking myself what I am doing! lol I know nothing about blogs but I do love people...anyway...thanks for coming by..you eased my heart..if that makes sense to you...have a great day girl!
