Vintage Thingies Thursday...Come Have a Coke for a Nickel!

Join me, as we travel back to 1949, and enjoy a refreshing cold Coca Cola for a nickel. Yes, that is right...ONE nickel.

I thought I would humor my husband today, and post a few items from his collection of vintage memorabilia...most are things that you would find at an old gas station! When I told him of my intentions to post them...he said "Oh, are you going to post pictures of my wife???" Which, would be ME...who did not find it that amusing! And to think, second in line to his thick, jet black hair, his witty personality was what attracted me so! ....."smiles"

The husband, who is not in my good graces at this moment, LOL! ...collects old drink boxes & machines , many which are still in working condition. This 1949 Coca Cola machine found a home, in his home office. For ONE nickel, you can get an ice cold 8 oz. Coke!

Old drink coolers are another part of his collection! Here below, modern technology meets vintage wonders!

Thermometers from the 30's & 40's!

(A PEPSI one for Picket! LOL!)

Old Sterling Metal Fan that works much better than the ones made today!

This old Texaco sign from the 50's will eventually be mounted to the wall...

Hope you all had a wonderful day! ~Rhonda

Wow Rhonda,
A man who loves to go shopping! Where do you buy one of those models? My hubby gets shopping sickness and falls down in the middle of stores and has spasms!
No kidding, that story another time...anyway, cool stuff!

Hope you have a lovely Friday and a great weekend!

Hi Rhonda! What a fun collection! And what a silly hubby. I love that Coke machine! I've never seen one before! There's an old diner in Southern California that I used to go to when I lived there that had lots of old Coca Cola memorabilia. I always loved it!

I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day!
