Whirlwind of Activity...Another Weekend Tractor Pull...

Yesterday was the last day of school for Ashley and David!

Combine that with the beautiful weather we are having and the influx of activity that it brings....yard work, farming, cook-outs, festivals, tractor pulls, etc....

It has been a whirl wind of activity around here!

I can't keep up with where everyone is...or where they are suppose to be!

Seems we are all going in different directions!

Last Saturday, Ashley and I, "took one for the boys," and joined them at the White Lake Water Festival Tractor Pull.

We pulled in 3 catagories, bringing home one 2nd place finish, and two 3rd places. Trophies are only given for 1st and 2nd place finishes.

Ashley and Coco hanging out...

This was much, too much excitement for Coco.

He found a quiet place all to himself on the back of the golf cart!

David had the best seat in town....

What is it about a guy and "popping wheelies???"...I tried three times, and much to Josh's pleasure, was able to catch this shot on his last pull!

Friends of ours, also pulling...L.H. & his dad, Ronnie....

No matter how busy the schedule appears, it is always good to spend time as a family whole!

Hope you are all having a great week, so far! ~Rhonda

Thank You so much for your visit today and your kind words about my projects! That made me feel so good! I am not sure where the energy is coming from but the more I accomplish the more excited I get to do more! My husband has nicnamed me the Energizer Bunny!
I used to go to tractor pulls all of the time when I was younger. I grew up in a small farm community- and a big part of me misses that something awful and reading this blog has made me homesick.
Your bowls are gorgeous! I have 1 vintage bowl but am working on more. They are very hard to find! My Grandmother has a beautiful set that I would love to call my own! I do have a serious obsession with all dishes though- my husband has to install add'l cabinets in our kitchen just to hold what I have now! What lovely treasures!
Take care and have a great day!

Hey Scooter!!! Man that tractor pull looks like my kind of family fun!!!! Congrats on the trophies!!! I think is it wonderful when families can do things together...we use to get together and go bowling but there are so many of us now I think they would banned us from the bowling alley! lol lol We laugh too much! lol All though it was hilarious to see mama throw the bowling ball 3 lanes over and watch daddy take a dive as he thought it was coming towards him!!!! lol lol Glad you had a great weekend sweetie..thanks for coming by!

What a great w/k you all had as a family. My husband use to pull as a younger man. We live fairly close to the fairgrounds in our area and it won't be long before the county fair takes over the community. We will hear those tractors fire up and the pulling will begin. Thanks so much for sharing your family times with us. Hugs to you dear friend. Lynne

Hey Rhonda!
What a fun thing to do with the family! My boys and husband would love something like that, I don't think we have tractor pulls around here, I may have to do some checking though just to see!
Hope your week is going well, are you getting to sleep in a bit now that school is out?

Take care,

I've never been to a tractor pull but my dad was a farmer and I grew up on a farm. This looks like fun for the entire family. My little brother loved the big tractors and I remember him sitting on them much the same as your little one was in the one picture. What a fun family outing!
